Our approach on this

Together with Karumi stakeholders, we architected an AWS-based reproducible infrastructure.

  • Implementing industry best practices
    Our infrastructure design followed the AWS Well-Architected Framework, building a development workflow that uses a consistent staging and deployment process. Environments can still be customized for individual project needs. 
  • Faster deployment through automation
    Using Terraform by HashiCorp and the AWS Elastic Beanstalk tools, we implemented a containerized infrastructure that can get AWS environments up and running in just a few hours. Docker containers enabled shipping microservices, making deployments quick and simple.
  • Reducing security risk through consistent practices
    We “baked in” standard security practices to our automation, avoiding possible oversights or gaps inherent in manual processes. Security and role-based access management use AWS KMS, AWS IAM, and AWS organizations.

The results

With the help of Edrans, Karumi is now a model of cloud DevOps practices.

Their new infrastructure allows Karumi to make the best use of modern automation, increasing deployment speed while reducing risk. This means Karumi can focus more time on adding value for their clients through training, consulting, and developing innovative software solutions.
